Abstract Fluid Painting with Liquify Modifier (Cinema 4D)

Today, we’re going to explore a surreal approach to fluid simulation in Cinema 4D!

With the release of Cinema 4D 2025.3, Maxon introduced one of the most anticipated features for 3D artists: Liquid Simulation. This powerful new tool opens up creative possibilities across motion graphics, VFX, and abstract art. Inspired by Salvador Dalí’s iconic painting The Persistence of Memory, we’ll use this feature to create a fluid art scene that’s both dreamy and vibrant.

In this project, we combine the new Fluid Modifier with soft-body-style melting clock elements to reflect how fluids can capture the surreal flow of time and memory. It’s a great exercise in combining abstract simulation with artistic vision.
